Lavender

Did you know that lavender oil has been revered for over 2,500 years?
The name “lavender” is derived from the Latin lavare, meaning, “to wash”. Greeks and Romans perfumed their bathwater with lavender, burned lavender incense to appease their wrathful gods, and believed the scent of lavender to be soothing to untamed lions and tigers.  In Medieval and Renaissance Europe, washerwomen were known as "lavenders" because they spread their laundry over lush lavender bushes to dry for the exquisite scent it gave.  Royalty such as Louis XIV loved bathing in lavender scented water but thank the goddess of flowers we don't have to be royalty to enjoy such a relaxing and delightful treat.
Lavender oil is one of the most valuable aromatherapy oils, its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities can be explained by main components such as linalool, linalyl acetate, lavandulol, geraniol and eucalyptol.
According to dermatologists and aroma therapists, lavender essential oil is one of the most beneficial oils in the treatment of acne. Lavender essential oil inhibits the bacteria that cause the initial infection, helps to regulate some of the over-excretion of sebum by hormonal manipulation and can reduce the signs of scarring after the acne has begun to heal.
Our lavender oil is distilled when the lavender buds have fully flowered which is when the lavender buds have most oil.

I always have a small bottle of lavender oil in my handbagand on my nightstand so that when I feel anxious/stress, I use a few drops on my temples and wrist and let it work its magic.

ps. Add a few drops inside you mask throughout the day.
