Limonene
*We don’t add limonene to our blends – it occurs naturally in many of the ingredients we use. Limonene is a compound found in the essential oils of many plants such as rose, lemon, lime, lemongrass, sweet orange, grapefruit, peppermint, sage and geranium.
Limonene is responsible for the sweet, lemon-like, pungent aroma we associate with citrus fruits. Aromatherapy oils have been used for centuries by ancient cultures to relieve stress and promote a sense of well-being. Limonene is powerful antioxidant and absorption enhancer properties allow it to work in synergy with other beneficial ingredients, allowing their full potential to be achieved. Antioxidants help protect our bodies from dangerous free radicals, and limonene prevents dryness by gently penetrating skin cells.
